The Cabin

We left on Saturday, Dec. 27th and
came home on Tuesday, Dec. 30th.

As you can tell by the following pictures,
we had to dig our way into the cabin.
So much snow!

The photographer was there and waiting
so we were in a hurry to get in and get
our pictures taken.

The photographer did a great job
and was so easy to work with.

Steven borrowed some snow machines from
a friend and so we were set!

We  had a ball!

Jenna was up the first night most of the night
throwing up.  Then, it just kind of went
through the family.

We did have fun even if most of us were sick
some of the time.

We played cards, played in the snow and
Uncle Mike even came up and the guys
went ice fishing.  Yup, it was so cold.
With the wind chill it was about
40 below.

So fun having all our kids together.

Christmas Day 2014

What a fun day!
Mom, Aunt Pat, Steven & Brooke came
for breakfast.  We had a light breakfast because
Matt and Kayla were coming at 2:00 and we had
a huge dinner planned.

We opened presents when Matt and Kayla got here.
So fun watching the kids open their gifts.

Nat and Emily doing a selfie!
Emily loved her singing bird from Aunt Nat.
Camden in his Spiderman shirt from Aunt Nat.

Razor scooters from Grandma and Grandpa Monk to
Emily and Camden.

I got a iPad mini, the red case and screen protectors from Wynn.
He is so thoughtful.  He knows I would never buy something like this
for myself.   Just to extravegant for little ol' me.
Glad he takes care of me and loves me.  I guess I'll keep him.  :)
Drum roll please. . . . .
The kids gave us PICTURES!
Yup, they hired a photographer to come to the cabin
to take family pictures.
They even gave us a frame to put our new family
photo in.
I LOVE IT!
So thoughtful.
I'm so excited!
(I really am quite fond of the photo already in the frame)

I just love my family!
Do I need to say more?
They are the best!

Thanks guys!
You made my year complete.

Christmas Eve

This year, Christmas Eve was a bit different.
My Mom did an open house for her family.
My family is getting so big, Mom doesn't have
enough room for everyone to come at one time.
So, we went for lunch and enjoyed soup and hot bread.
When it started to get really crowded, we split!

We came back to my house and played games and just
kind of hung out.  We had just snack foods and lounged.
We decided to drive around and view all the Christmas lights.
I made hot cocoa for everyone and then we piled in
Steven and Brooks van and went for a ride.
Wynn wasn't feeling well so he stayed home.

We ended up out at Steven and Brookes.
After the kids went to bed, we helped
Santa Claus do his thing.
Oh, so much fun. . . .
