Vegas Trip

Wynn and I left Wednesday, Aug. 12 and headed out for Vegas
to visit Matt, Kayla and little Elle.
We decided that this time we were going to stop on our way
and visit Bryce Canyon.
It was simply beautiful!
We hiked a bit and just enjoyed the beauty.
We drove over to Cedar City and spent the night there.

We arrived in Vegas on Thursday afternoon.
I could not wait to see our little Elle.
She was simply adorable.
She just stared at us with those dark eyes and
studied us.  I feel in love, totally and completely!
She had me at first sight!

Matt and Kayla made us a delicious dinner.
We had tostadas and a green salad.
It hit the spot!
After dinner, we went to a beautiful park and went
for a walk.

After the park, we went for shaved ice at
Lather and Shave.
It was delicious!
I have never had anything quit like this.

On Friday, we went and looked at milti-million dollar homes.
They were so out there, I couldn't believe it.
It was fun just being with the kids.
We did look at some homes in the $300,000 price range.
It was fun just looking.

Friday evening, we took Elle and went swimming.
So much fun!

Tonight we watch a movie and ate popcorn.
We watched McFarland USA.  Matt and Kayla
served their mission really close to this area in
California.

On Saturday, we went to a Mormon Fort.
Right there in Las Vegas!
I couldn't believe it!
The mormons were sent there to settle the area.
Didn't work out well, it was dry and hot.
This is what is left of the Fort.
This place was not run by the church.
If it was, it could of been a really cool place.
We enjoyed walking around but the heat was intense!
107 degrees is HOT!

We then went to the Mandalay Bay Aquarium.
It was a blast!
The sharks were amazing!

WE then just went on a drive and enjoyed being together.
We stopped at a little road side store and
there was an pomegranate tree.
I have never seen one before so of course,
I had to take a photo!

We went out to a nice dinner and then
enjoyed another movie at the kids apartment.
So fun visiting these guys.
It was so hard leaving.
That little Elle is just a doll.
We bonded and it hurt to leave.
It did warm my heart to see that Matt and Kayla
are such wonderful parents.  Matt is so involved in
Little Elle's life.  He bathes her, feeds her, changes diapers,
and he talks to her and makes her just giggle.
Every night, Matt swaddles Elle and puts her plug
in and she sleeps all night.
What a awesome little family they have.
I couldn't be more proud!

We left early Sunday morning and enjoyed a long drive home.
Don't know when we will see these guys again but
we love them dearly.
I am so proud!

Beartooth Pass

On Saturday, Aug. 8th, Wynn and I went for a L-O-N-G
drive.  We went up through Yellowstone and then on
over to the Beartooth Pass.  We had dinner in Red Lodge Montana
then down to Cody Wyoming and back through the park and on
to home.
What a day!
I loved being with Wynn.
