The Rexburg Temple

Had to share these pictures of the temple that Matt took.
Aren't these just beautiful?
He has such an eye for this stuff.

Memorial Day 2013

For Memorial Day this year,
we just stayed home and enjoyed our company. . .

Matt came home and brought his roommates.
We had a BBQ and played crochet.
Matt even planted my garden for me.
So fun having Matt around and we are
 enjoying him so much.

Sam, Hailey, and Jenna came too.
Aren't they just the cutest?

Wynn took Matt and all the boys shooting out on the desert somewhere.
Sounds like they had a great time.
So fun  having Matt close enough that he can come home for the day.

Visiting the Cemetery

On Sunday afternoon, we went and decorated graves.

 I miss my Dad everyday.
Hard to believe it has been 7 years  now that he has been gone.
I know he is okay and in a better place but it's still hard.
My Mom is a wonder woman!
I know she misses him with all her might but she is such
a trooper and just keeps going on.  When we talk about this,
she always says, "I have no choice but to go on."
Death is hard but we as members of the church have the
knowledge we need to keep putting one foot in front
of the other.
I feel so blessed!

Riding the South Fork Trail

On Saturday, May 25th, Wynn, Steven, and Kris went and rode the
South Fork Trail.  Sounds like they had tons of fun.
It's so great when Wynn can take a day and spend
it with these great guys.

Sister missionaries

On Thursday, May 23rd, we had the honor of feeding our
Sister Missionaries, Sister Hendertilo and Sister Nussbaum.
It was Sis. Hendertilo's birthday and so we
got to celebrate that too.  It was so fun having them come over and
to spend just a little time with us.  I appreciate them so much, I
miss having a missionary in the field.

I loved putting together this candy bar poster for Sis. Hendertilo's birthday.
I always appreciated it when members would make my missionaries
birthday's special.
I even got to send pictures to Sis. Hendertilo's Mom!
I loved that too when I heard from members.
Anyway, it was a fun evening.
Wouldn't be a birthday without candles!

Emily's preschool graduation

It's hard to believe that our little Emily is done with preschool and ready to
head out into the public school system and enter Kindergarten.

It doesn't look like she is very excited about graduation.

She warmed up and loved showing us how all the kids would give
big hugs to their teacher.
 With her teacher, Ellen McKeller.
Showing Mrs. McKeller all the things in her purse.
Emily with her good friend, Chase.
Wouldn't be complete without a picture of Camden.
He'll be next to go to preschool.

Jenna

Our darling little Jenna.
She is growing so fast.
So fun to see her learn and grow.
I think she is about 9 or 10 months old in this picture.

Mother's Day

I've never really been that fond of Mother's Day.  For me it's a day
when I feel very inatequate as a Mother.  As I get older it seems to
be a much more enjoyable day for me.

This year my kids spoiled me rotten. . .
Sam, Hailey and Jenna gave me this beautiful potted plant for my deck.
I love it!  I love the red and yellow, just beautiful.
Jenna gave me this, oh, so cute!
Warms my heart.
Natalie gave me a "Sunshine" box.
The cutest thing I have ever seen!
A box full of yellow things to brighten my day.
I love it too!
Steven, Brooke, Emily, and Camden gave me this beautiful bracelet.
It was attached to the card that is pictured below.

This is the poem that was on the back of the card.

Oh my, isn't that just the cutest thing in the world!
The kids helped pick out all the beads and there is even a bead
with three little kids, one represents each one of my grandkids.
I love all the sparkly beads because I know those are the ones
Emily picked out.
I loved going to school on Monday and showing all the kids there
my new bracelet.

Matt gave me the following letter with a new case for my cell phone.
(Couldn't take a picture of it because it's on my phone and that's
what I'm taking pictures with.  :)  I love it though, it's so cute!

Matt just makes me laugh.
I always tell him that all I want is a nice letter full of nice words and that's
just what he did.

I have the best kids in the world!
I love them ALL with all my heart.

Thanks guys for making my Mother's Day special.

**** I couldn't leave without telling about my Mom.
I feel so blessed to have her in my life.
She truly is my best friend and understands me
like no one else does.
When I grow up I want to be just like her.
I love you Mom and I appreciate all you do
for me and my family.

My new table runner. . .

I bought this kit to make this table runner last year at the Quilt Shop Hop.
I finally got it done!  It was a paper pieced project.  I had never done
that before and I loved it!  I want to do that again sometime.
Anyway, just wanted to share. . . .

Bridger's Home!

One of Matt's best friends, Bridger Hodges, just returned home from his mission
in Frankfort, Germany.  It was so good to see him again.  I love seeing these
boys after their missions, they have all grown so much.  I firmly believe
that a mission is not only to serve other people and to share the gospel
of Jesus Christ but it is also a time for the missionary to grow and progress
in their testimony and in the process, learn a lot about themselves.
What a great bunch of kids, I love them all!
