Christmas Day 2013

What a fun day!
So thankful for each one of my family.
I love them with all my heart.
I'm still not feeling great but I
tried to put on a happy face.  :)

pictures speak a 1000 words!

Christmas Eve

I spent the whole day in bed today.
Wynn took the kids and went to
Rigby to my Mom's for the
Christmas festivities.
Good thing I got everything ready yesterday.

When everyone got home, I tried to feel better.
We took the family and went to the movie.
We saw, "Frozen"
It was so cute, we all really enjoyed it.
It was very relaxing and I think everyone liked it.
We have never done this before on a Christmas Eve
but I think it worked!

After the movie, we got Hot cocoa and drove around
and looked at all the lights.

After the Christmas story we all
retired to our beds just waiting
for those sugar plums to dance in our
heads.

Not many pictures today but I did capture
Natalie and Kayla in their footie p.j.'s.
Aren't they so cute?

I think I forgot to mention that we got Kayla for Christmas
this year.  Matt is going to Southern California for
Austin's wedding and he is leaving on Christmas day so
Kayla stayed and will travel with him on  Christmas
day.
Aren't we lucky?

Sitting Jenna. . .

On Monday, Dec. 23rd, we got to babysit Jenna while
Sam and Hailey went skiing up at Grand Targhee.

Jenna is so sweet and did so well being away from
her Mom for a whole day.

She didn't feel well all day long and she threw up A LOT!
She did smile some and I even captured one!

You can tell by the pictures that Jenna didn't feel well today.
She was so sweet though.

I started feeling sick at about 3:00 in the afternoon and it stuck the
whole week long.

After the kids got home from skiing, we gave them our
Christmas gifts.  With Sam working on Christmas Day,
this was our option we chose.

Hailey texted me this picture she took of Jenna with
the cart we gave  her for Christmas.
I hope she likes it.

We took Kayla and Matt to dinner this night to Red Robin.
I didn't feel well but I pretended.  :)

Our family Party. . .

This year we got our family all together the Sunday before Christmas.
Sam had to work on Christmas Day and so it just seemed
a perfect thing to do.

We had Cafe' Rio Salads and pumpkin pie for dessert.

We played Christmas pictionary and won gifts.

We had so much fun.

I didn't take many photo's but it was fun just being together.
I love my family so much.

Monk Family Christmas Party at the Lodge. . .

I always look forward to the Monk Family
Christmas party.

This year we met as usual on the Saturday before Christmas
at the Lodge in Lava.

Mike and Karen were in charge this year.
They did an awesome job!

Here are just a few of the kids that were there.
Our family is getting so big, I love it!

This year we did something a little different.

We honored Wynn's Mom.
Each of her kids paid tribute to her by
sharing some of their favorite memories
of her.

So many of our kids never got to know
Grandma Effie.  We wanted everyone
to get to know her a little bit better.
It was so fun and I think
everyone enjoyed it.

Here are just a few of the pictures we shared. . .

This picture is of Wynn with his Mom and Dad
while he was on his mission.  Yup, he served in Virginia and
his brother, Mike, got married in the Washington D.C. temple
while he was in the mission field.  I guess a visit was in
store.  When Wynn left on his mission, the Dr. told
him he would never see his mother alive again.  She
was dying of cancer.

This was taken in about 1983.
Effie is still alive.
This picture was taken just after
Wynn, David, and Leslie had just
gotten their pilot's license.

Our wedding

I just loved this bucket, I want to make them for next year.
The kids got to go on a scavenger hunt looking for their Christmas gift.
Le and Erma opening their Christmas gift.

Always a fun time when we are with family.

Emily's 6th birthday party at Leo's. . .

This year we gave Emily this 18" doll for her birthday.
I had so  much fun making her some clothes.

 I just love this photo!
See Camden in the back. . . oh, what a cutie.

College ward Christmas Party (Dec. 12, 2013)

For the Christmas Party in Wynn's ward,
we had a lovely dinner provided by
HomeTowne Kitchen.
Roast Beef, mashed potatoes, gravy,
beans, rolls, cinnamon jello, and
pumpkin cake.

After eating, the kids decorated
gingerbread houses.

Awards were given.

So much fun. . .
