Craters of the moon

On Wednesday, June 8th, we headed out for Washington.

We got to take Emily with us.

Wynn and I were so excited to have an adventure with

two of our 6 grandkids.

We stopped at Craters of the Moon for a little hike.

We just needed to get the wiggles out.

Aren't these two just the cutest?

 The wild flowers were all out in bloom.

Just beautiful!

This is just a replica of a lava flow.

It is not in the park, just at a rest stop.

Kind of interesting.  

Cousin Fun...

Sam & Hailey were in the process of moving into their

new home in Richland when they came to Idaho Falls

for Hailey's sister's baby blessing.

They left Jenna with us and then we will take

her to Washington with us when we head for

Portland for Natalie's graduation.

What a darling little girl Jenna is.

We had so much fun.

Miss Jenna marches to her own beat.

*We took her on our daily walk around the river.  She loved  it!

*We played out on the patio.

*We had a cousins day and we played and played.

We went to Tauphas Park to play on the toys and have a picnic.

Then we headed to my house to play in the pool.

A trip to Idaho Falls is not complete without 

Reed's Dairy ice cream and the petting zoo. 

Stink'en Springs

On June 4th, 2016 Wynn and I got to go on a RZR ride with 

Kaylynn & Loren.  We haven't seen them in a long time.

It was so fun to get caught up.  

We went up Heise way to Stink'en Springs.

It was simply beautiful!

Memorial Day Weekend!

 We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!  

Friday when I got out of school, Wynn and I went out to

Steve's so Wynn could help him pull out some bushes.

I love it when we get to go out there!  I love seeing

the kids and I love just sitting on the couch and 

visiting with Brooke.  I loved seeing all their labors

in their yard.  It looks so beautiful out there.

We  had a very pleasant afternoon.

When we came home, we went and got 

a huge Diet Coke and then we watched a movie 

downstairs in my happy place!  :)

Saturday morning, we went and visited the cemeteries.

I got beautiful lilics at Steve & Brookes for

Effies grave.  

I love going and reminiscing while we walk about the cemetery.  

This year I noticed that Wynn's mom was born on April 24, my

Dad died on April 24th and our little Elle was born on April 24th.

I'd say April 24th is a pretty special day in our family!

Saturday afternoon, Wynn, Steven and the little boys went shooting and Brooke, Emily & I
went to the movies.  It was so good, I cried my eyes out but it had such a good ending
that it was worth it.  I just really needed a feel good movie and this one hit the spot.
Miracles from Heaven was a great movie!
After that, we got to go shopping for just a little bit before we met the guys
for dinner at Pizza Pie Cafe.
It was so much fun.  Now that the kids are older, it is great to take
them out to dinner.  

The kids came over on Sunday after church for a little BBQ.

So fun having the kids come.  Wynn played some games

with the grandkids out on the lawn.  They had a ball!

I am so thankful for my family!

On Monday morning, Wynn and I went walking out to 

Freeman Park.  The flags of Freedom were there.

We loved walking around and admiring the beauty.

How blessed we are to live in our free country.

So thankful for the men and women who gave their lives

for our freedom.

I am eternally grateful.

Monday afternoon, Wynn and I went on a RZR ride up by Heise.

It was so beautiful!  We really do live in a beautiful world!

And, it's right in our own backyard!

We are blessed beyond measure!

We had a wonderful holiday weekend!
