RZ ride

On Saturday, June 20th, Wynn and I met Kaylynn and Loren
up at Island park and went for a RZ ride.
So nice to get away and spend some fun time with Wynn.

Wynn and Loren studying the map.
Can I just say how much I love this guy.
He is my everything.
The best Dad, husband and friend in the world.

Wynn hates selfies but I made him do it.

We had a nice day of RZ riding.

Bird

Last Sunday, June 14th, when I was coming home from Rexburg, I hit a bird.
I thought it was dead!  It was stuck to the front of my car.  It just flapped
around all the way home.  I hit is at about Rigby.  It was stuck there
all the way home.  When I stopped at the stoplight by Walgreens it
sat up and looked at me.  The poor thing was still alive but stuck.
I came home and it sat up and looked at me again and blinked
his little eyes.  I went and got the neighbor to help me get him out.
I knew if I would just unlatch my hook, he would be free but
I couldn't figure out how to do that.  I think I was a bit distraught
about the hole situation.  When our neighbor released the hood,
the bird was gone!  Poor thing.
I then had to clean up the blood.
Boy, what a day..

Hardest Sunday Ever!

Rexburg, Idaho YSA 39th Ward
On Sunday, June 14, 2015, this bishopric was released.
Brit Singleton, Ward Clerk (not released until the Fall)
Lonnie Mortensen, 1st Counselor
Wynn Monk, Bishop
Darrell Dutson, 2nd counselor

Wynn has throughly loved serving in this bishopric.
Such a busy, busy calling and he loved it.
Those YSA's are simply the best!
I got to speak for just a few minutes in sacrament meeting and I
just want to share some of my thoughts.
Three blessings received from Wynn's service to our family:
1)  What a great example of Christ like service.  He served continually and gave so much
of his time.  I loved that this example was given for our children.  One of the boys
would call and need something or want Wynn to go someplace but his calling
sometimes got in the way.  He never put off his family but he made it very clear to us
that serving was a priority.  I loved that the kids got to see his devotion and love of
his calling.  A great example!  When you are in the service of your fellow
man, ye are in the service of your God.
2)  I loved to see Wynn exercise his priesthood keys.  I loved to see  him speak to the kids
in his ward.  The mantal of Bishop was truly there.  The kids could feel this too.
This is the part I am going to miss the most.  He always gave such great
advice and was so fun to be around.  The kids loved him and still do.
3)  What great friendship we have made.  As the kids sang,
"God Be With You Till We Meet Again," my heart leaped!
I can't wait to see everyone again someday.

I can honestly say that the time Wynn served as Bishop, he has never
been happier.  Our life has been bliss!

I loved what Wynn wrote on Facebook to all the kids the night he was released:

Just wanted to thank each of you for the outpouring of love I felt this past week. Being the Bishop of the Rexburg YSA 39th Ward has been one the greatest experiences of my life. Recently we received some training from Elder Batt and in that training Elder Batt encouraged us to not just be administrators but work to make a difference in someones life. I pray I have been an influence in some of your lives, but I can truly say that each of you have influenced my life. I have had the privilege of sitting down with Bishop Herrick and received my conformation that he has been called by the Lord to be the new Bishop of the 39th Ward. I know he will be an outstanding Bishop and pray that he will have the same choice experiences I have had. May the Lord bless you with all of the righteous desires of your hearts.
Love, Bishop Monk
This picture includes the executive secretary - Chad Farrell
(He was companions with Matt in the MTC)
It's a small world.
Sunday evening after Wynn was released, we went back up to
Rexburg because the kids wanted him to came to Ward Prayer.
So, we went back up to Rexburg and meet in Brooklyn
Lounge for prayer.  The kids gave him a Hawaiian lai and
one made from candy bars.
They asked Wynn to give the Ward prayer.
It was simply beautiful.

A new chapter of our life begins.
Today is Wednesday and it is still hard.
So hard on Wynn.
I just love him so much.

Ready, set, GO!

At 4, Camden is so much like his Dad.
They know one speed and it is FAST!
I couldn't believe how FAST Camden rode
his little motorcycle.
He went so FAST!

I guess like Father like Son!
(I sure love these guys)

Our Jenna

When I was doing my blog, I realized I didn't  have very many pictures of
our Jenna.  With Sam, Hailey & Jenna in Kansas, we don't get to see them
very much.  So, I texted Hailey and  had her send me some photo's to
satisfy my missing Jenna fix.
This is what I got.....

I just love this little girl, she warms my heart.
I miss  her so much!
They are coming on the 4th of July and we can
hardly wait.

Mid term social

We rushed home from Las Vegas so we could attend our last
mid term social.

The kids had this all planned and we just got to enjoy it.
They did a variety show.  Each FHE group had a talent
to share.

 Beautiful piano piece.
 singing
 The chicken dance
Everyone joined in doing the chicken dance.
 Lots of fun....

About half way through, the kids  had the bishopric up on the stage and
then we played a game kind of like the newlywed game.
We each had to share about our 1st date and our 1st kiss.
(The kids love to hear all our old stories)

 More singing
 even more singing
 How to make brownies.
(eww, it was so messy)
 even yodeling!

Douglas Faun, from Vietnam made this poster of Wynn.
He had him come up front and make the pose and took
his picture.  He is a photography major.  Then he told
how much he has learned from Bishop Monk.  Wynn has
been his bishop the whole time he has been in America.
He shared how much he has learned from Bishop Monk.
Especially, Make the plan Work the plan.
Oh, we're going to miss this calling so much.
 Bishop saying his goodbyes.
 The icing on the cake...
The whole ward gathered on the stage and sang
"God be with you till we meet again."
Boy, the tears flowed.
They sounded like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Just beautiful!
Boy, those kids sure know how to carry the spirit with them
everywhere they go and in everything they do.
It was wonderful.
Such a beautiful good-bye to the out going bishopric.
then, we just took some fun photo's.
These kids are just fun to be around.

Blessing week-end

I missed the last two days of school.
We left for Utah on Wednesday afternoon.
We went to Bridger Hodges wedding reception in Provo.
Matt was there, he did their wedding photo's.
This is a picture of Matt with the Bride and Groom!
Yup, that is really them.
What a fun reception.
We stayed in SLC next to the airport so we could get
Matt to the airport early on Thursday morning.

On Thursday, we attended the Draper temple.
Later that same day, we attended the St. George Temple.

These temples are just beautiful!  I loved spending the day
in the temple.

These roses were growing on the temple grounds at the St. George temple.

We stayed in St. George Thursday night.
We picked Sam up at the airport on Friday at 12:30 in Las Vegas.
We then went and picked up Kayla and Elle.  We took a trip
to the Hoover Dam.  Matt was at work and was really disappointed
that we went without him.

Elle slept most of the day.
I was so excited to see her.  She is so sweet.
Such a special little spirit in a special little body.
We just love her!

Saturday morning, Kayla and Elle went to Kayla's Nephew's high school
graduation and so Wynn, Sam, Matt and I visited the Bellagio Resort on
the strip.  I loved the Under the Sea exhibit all done in flowers.
 Sand castle of the belagio.

Just beautiful!

We then travel to the Red Rock area of Vegas.
It was just beautiful.
We even got in a little hike!

So fun spending time with my "boys."

Sunday morning was little Elle's blessing day!

Matt gave Elle a beautiful blessing.
It was so wonderful to be there and witness
our little Matty use the priesthood to give his
daughter a blessing.  There is just something
wonderful about seeing your son exercise his
preisthood power.
Warms my heart.

 Kayla's family.
John and Michelle King came from Tehachapi, CA.
Matt taught them while he was serving his mission.
Michelle is now baptized and John holds the priesthood.
They have even been sealed in the temple.
So glad for good friends and missions.
They are best of friends.

WE had a picnic in the park and then
we went over to Jerry and Shauna's and
watched a movie.
We had a wonderful visit.
I hated to leave and go home.
