34 years and counting. . .

It is so hard to believe that Wynn and I just celebrated our 34th wedding
anniversary.  Time has gone by so fast.  It seems like just yesterday all our kids
were home and life was so crazy.  Now, we are empty nesters and I long
for our kids to come visit.  I love it when our home is full of giggles
and laughs from our kids and grandkids.  That is truly where
happiness lies.

I feel so blessed, I have the best husband in the world!
I know he loves me because  he tells me every single day.
He not only tells me but he shows it in how he acts and treats me.
He is a gem!

I hope and pray we make it another 34 years of bliss.

On Saturday, we went on a RZ ride with our good friends, the Kinghorns.
They just bought a brand new RZ and we are so happy because
now they can go with us on fun adventures.

We had a great day.
We went up by West Yellowstone to Lion's Head.
It was a great trail and the weather was just beautiful.
A perfect way to celebrate our special day.

Just SOME of my favorite things. . .

I wanted to post some of the photo's I have on my phone.
These really are some of my most favorite things. . .

Our sweet Jenna in her new skirt I made for her.
She is so sweet.
My handsome husband sporting the biggest watermelon
I have ever seen.  This picture doesn't do it justice.
This puppy was HUGE. . .
After I bought it I felt kind of greedy because it was $3.99 per watermelon and
of course, I picked the biggest one!  I was thinking it just
might not be very good. I was wrong, it was so delicious!
There is nothing better than good watermelon on a hot
summer day.  I simply love it!

Matt and his roommates came on Sunday afternoon for dinner and to celebrate Kyle's
birthday.  We had taco's, corn on the cob and of course, watermelon.
So fun having them come.  I love feeling of their spirit and getting to
know them better.  Becky is not a roommate but she was just as fun
as the boys.  I feel lucky that they want to come to our home.
After dinner we had funnel cakes!
So much fun.

This year, Mom and I went to the State fair.
It was so much fun just wandering around and enjoying
each other's company.
We were in no hurry and we just looked at everything.
We loved the food, especially our HUGE
ice cream cone.

I always love to see the huge pumpkins.

Something about pumpkins make me excited for fall!

I got to help Brooke can her peaches and pears.
It was fun doing a project together.
I have the best daughter-in-laws in the world.

Today was Activity Day!
We didn't have a very good turn out but we had fun anyway.
We talked about how important it is to get an educaiton and how
having good study habits are so beneficial.
We then made Gak and did the Diet Coke and mento's experiment.
I have the best calling in the world!

Family Camping Trip 2013

August 30 - Sept. 1, 2013

I was so excited for our big family camping trip.
Two drawbacks:  Saturday was my Mom's birthday and we would miss her party and
Natalie was the only one in our family who was not going.

We got a perfect camp spot.
We went up by Pine Creek kind of by West Piney Girls Camp Lodge.

How many Monk's does it take to put up a shade tent?
Even these little Monk's were  helping.
Camden looks so cute on his strider bike.
It really did take lots of Monk's to put up this tent!
 Playing in the creek.
Emily and Jenna didn't seem to mind that it was so cold.

 Matt catches a water snake!
Emily is not too sure about holding it.
All ready for their picture to be taken!
Aren't they so cute?
This is my favorite of Jenna. . .
 Matt with the snake.

 Bubbles bring so many smiles.
Everyone loved riding in Grandpa's RZR.
Look at those faces!
 Steven and Camden
 Steven and Emily
Waiting for our tin foil dinners to cook on the fire.
 Making foil dinners. . .
 Eating foil dinner.

We really did have fun except things came to an end when. . .
1)  Brooke got sick and Steven took her home then,
2)  Jenna fell in the fire!

After a wonderful dutch over dinner Saturday night,
we had a huge fire ring and just a small fire in the middle.
Jenna fell backwards into the fire.  The back of her head hit the fire.
Wynn promptly pulled her out.  She was screaming, a scream I won't
soon forget.  The back of her little head was on fire.  Wynn and Steven patted
it out and then discovered that there was a coal or something on her sleeve that
burnt her little arm.  Oh my, it was the saddest thing  in the world.  Poor Hailey was
so scared.  So thankful that she was okay, it could of been so much worse.
Sam and Hailey went  home Saturday night right after the accident.
After Jenna had a nice bath and got cleaned up, she looked like
nothing even happened to her.  I'm sure counting my blessing for that one.
We felt so watched over and so blessed!
Breakfast before coming home on Sunday.
