Emily's 2nd grade Spelling Bee

Today, May 24th, I got to go to Rigby and see Emily participate in
the 2nd grade spelling bee.
There were 21 top spellers from the whole 2nd grade and Emily
was one of them.  What an honor, to be in the top 21 of the
whole 2nd grade!

She did awesome!
She made it to the second round.
I sure was a proud Grandma.
So glad I could go.
We love you Em's!

VEGAS BABY!

On Thursday, May 19th, Wynn and I headed for Vegas to see the kids.
We were suppose to go for Elle's B'day in April but because of
Sam and Hailey's move and Wynn going to help, we didn't make
it.  So, we went this week-end to celebrate Elle's birthday.
Oh my, we had so much fun.  Kind of a relaxing week end and
we loved it!

We stayed Thursday night in Beaver, Utah then headed to Vegas
on Friday morning.  We stopped in St. George and went
for a long walk.  It was so pretty!  So many hiking/walking trails.
I wanted to do them all!
We got to Vegas just shortly after noon.  Matt took us to the
Apple Store where he works just so we could see it.  It was
fun to see!  We then went to a late lunch at Panda Express.
That night, Wynn and Matt went to Matt's Father's and Son's
outing at Mt. St. Charles.  Sounds like they had a good time
but boy, the wind was blowing so hard.  Kayla and I stayed
home and just hung out and visited.  I enjoyed it!  Kayla and
I are become really close and I like that.
On Saturday morning, Wynn and Matt went to the Hoover Dam.
Matt has wanted to go there for a longtime and so this was a
"must" do in his book.  They had a great time!  Kayla and I went
shopping.  So fun to just relax and not have to be somewhere at
a certain time.

Saturday night we went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant.
It's a family favorite of the Tippitts.  It was really good!
We took Jon Wood, our nephew from Pocatello who is living
in Vegas.  It was nice to see him.  Afterwards, we played some
cards and just enjoyed each others company.
We came home on Sunday morning.

That little Elle has just stolen my heart.
She is so much fun.
We sure love her!

WE are so proud of our Vegas kids!

2nd grade program

Last Wednesday, May 18th, Wynn and I got to go to Rigby
and watch Emily's 2nd grade class preform  a program.
It was so good, we loved it.  I was so impressed with the
kids and the teachers.  They did an awesome job.
I think that Rigby School District really has it together!

Emily and her best friend, Bailey.
Aren't they so cute?

I love to see the temple

Tuesday, May 17th

When Wynn and I were walking the river, we couldn't help
but notice just how beautiful the temple looked.
It was a perfect evening, the wind wasn't blowing
and the temple looked wonderful.
I sure have missed the temple being open, I can't
wait until it reopens hopefully in October.
So thankful for my eternal family!

Yellowstone

When we went to Bryce Canyon a few weeks ago, Wynn
bought a season's pass to all National Parks.  So, it seemed
like a great idea on Saturday, May 14th, to visit
Yellowstone Park.  Hey, we got to get our $'s worth out
of that pass.

We visited Old Faithful and then we hiked up behind
Old Faithful and it was simply beautiful.  Kind of an
over cast day but oh, so beautiful.  So calm and almost
 muggy.  We loved it!

We walked all over right there at Old Faithful.
We had never done that before  and it was so much fun.
We saw lots of animals:
Buffalo w/babies
Coyotes
fox
Bald Eagle
Deer
squirrel

So fun just being with Wynn.
We had such a fun day.

Coming home, we even saw a rainbow.
The picture doesn't do it justice, it was beautiful!

Mother's Day 2016

This year for Mother's Day, Wynn took me to Texas
Roadhouse for dinner and then to the movie.
We saw "Jungle Book."  We loved spending some
quality time together.

This is what I made for all "my girls" for Mother's DAy.
Yah, they are kind of cheesy but I loved making them.
They are pill boxes I got at the dollar store.
I loved how I got to remonise about each one of these
special ladies as I put their box together.
I don't think they enjoyed them as much as I did
putting them together.
(they are filled with Dove chocolate and quotes)
Brooke made this for me!  Oh, I love it so much.  I have this
thing for sunflowers and this one hit the spot!
Each time I see it hanging on my wall, I think of Steve and
Brooke and their sweet family.

Brooke helped the kids paint this rock for me for Mother's DAy.
It is so cute!  It suppose to go outside but I haven't had the
heart to but it out there yet.  I love it too much.....
Natalie gave me this beautiful necklace!
I also have a thing for hearts and this one hit the spot  also.
I sure got treated well for Mother's Day.

We got together on the Saturday before Mother's Day and had
dinner together.  Mom was going to Kris and Donalee's on
Sunday so we had to adjust.
I'm just grateful we got to get together and celebrate this
special day.  I am so thankful for my Mom and all that
she is to me.  She will forever be my hero!

I am also grateful that I got to talk to each one of me
kids on Mother's Day.  I truly have a special bunch of
kids.  I love them all dearly.

Enjoying our Grand babies!

While Sam & Hailey were here on lay over for their route to
moving to Washington, we got to babysit while the kids
went out for their 6th wedding anniversary.
We had a ball!

 Emily reading to Jenna
 Nora all ready for bed!
Wynn and Jenna building with Lego's!
It was so fun having the kids come for about a week.
We are so proud of Sam for getting a new  job working in
Richland, Washington with LambWeston.
It will be so nice  having them closer.
About 9 hours to drive to Richland and it is so doable!
So happy they are closer!

Elle turn's one! April 24st, 2016

We were planning on going to Vegas for Elle's 1st birthday.
But, plans got changed.  Wynn ended up going to Minnestoa and
helping Sam and Hailey move across the country to
Richland, WA.

Following are photo's Matt took of Elle in honor of her
special day.

Eleanor turns one!
