Elle in the hospital......

On Thursday, May 7th, Matt called and told us that
Elle had been running a really high temperature
and needed to be admitted into the hospital.
Elle was 13 days old.

This was so alarming to us.
They didn't know why she would be running such a
high fever.  They were doing lots of testing
but no conclusions.

Friday morning, Wynn and I looked at each
other and we knew what we needed to do.

We hopped in the car and headed for Vegas.

It took us 9 hours to get there.
As we walked into the hospital, I didn't know
who to hug first.  I finally got to meet our new little
granddaughter.

She is a doll!  So little and so cute.  Her pictures
just didn't do her justice.  She was just so little
and so sweet.  My heart wept for her being all
hooked up to machines.

I also felt so sorry for Matt & Kayla.
Such new parents and such a heavy heart.

After all the testing and even quarantining her,
they just think it was a viral infection.

She was in the hospital for Thursday afternoon until
Sunday morning.  The longest week-end of our
lives!

After many blessings and lots of prayers, I think
she is in the clear.

So thankful for such a good Mom and Dad
to love and care for her.

On Sunday after the kids took Elle home,
we took pictures.
This was Mother's Day too.
Oh, Kayla's first one.....

If I hadn't of seen it for myself, I wouldn't of believed it but,
Matt had this baby just smiling.  Yup, barely two weeks and she was
really smiling.  I think she was glad to get home too.
We bonded totally and completely.
Look at her just look at me.
Oh, I'm in love.

So, is Grandpa!

So glad we went to Vegas.
We just needed to support the kids.
Glad we could go.
Just  love them all so much.
A different Mother's Day but a good one.
I got to talk to all my kids and my Mom too.
Perfect!!!!!
We did take some time Saturday morning and attended
the Las Vegas temple.
What peace we felt as we entered there.
We knew everything would be alright.
So thankful for the gospel and the
peace it brings into our hearts and lives.

We left Sunday evening and drove to Cedar City and
spent the night.
We got up on Monday morning and headed for home.
We stopped at the Hill Air force base and looked
at the planes.
Wynn was in heaven.....

Then, we stopped in Ogden at the Train museum
and looked at all the old trains.
They were huge!

We had a nice day spending it doing whatever we wanted.
I just love my life!
