39th YSA Ward Camp Out

June 28th & 29th, 2013
What a great time we had on Wynn's ward camp out!
We got to go to Krupp Scout Hollow near the Menan Exit on the
way to Rexburg.  It was the perfect place and we were so
blessed to be able to go there.

What a beautiful place!

We meet at 5:00 and dinner was served at 6:00 or maybe a little later.
We had pulled pork sandwiches
potato salad
baked beans
watermelon
chips
lemon ade
and
Dutch Oven cobblers
for dessert.

Delicious!!!

Then, off to the camp fire program. . . .

the kids make it so much fun!
(both these cute girls are soon to be Sister Missionaries)
Br. Mortenson was in charge of the program.
 Silly skits
Each FHE group did one.
Here this group  is passing gas. . .
 Two suckers on a stick. . .
After we laughed and laughed, Wynn gave a campfire devotional.
I love to hear him talk to these kids.  He always does such an
amazing job.  He has them eating right out of his hands.
I truly can see the inspiration of a bishop here.
Whom God calls, he qualifies.
Some how the kids knew it was Wynn's birthday.
They spoiled him rotten:
a special card,
a German Chocolate Cake with candles,
cup cakes for everyone else and
even a cute jar filled with his favorite,
Salt Water Taffy.
I'm sure Wynn felt special.
 Blowing out all those candles.
After the fun around the campfire, we did a faith walk.
We were all blindfolded and then taken for a walk all over
the place.  Finally, we found the rope or the Iron Rod to
help us find home.  What an amazing experience this was.

This is a picture of the kids singing trying to bring everyone home.
They were to follow the music and thus come into the arms
of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

This spirit was so strong, I loved it.

When these kids bear testimony, you listen!
They are so close to the spirit.
I love being around them, it feels so good.

After a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, eggs and more watermelon the next morning, we were off for a
water fight in the big, grassy area.

After clean-cup we headed home.
What a fun time we had.
Can't wait for the next time we get to have a party!
